Hello new Proficiency students,
Welcome to our school.

The best way to improve your English is through lots and lots of practice. You are extremely lucky to be developing your language skills at a time when exposure to the English language is (literally) at your fingertips!

Internet access means that you can improve all your language skills: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking.

You will see immediate progress in your listening skills by watching videos and listening to talks. TED TALKS offers talks on a vast variety of topics, so you are sure to find something that interests you.

Another good idea is to actually register for a MOOC. MOOCs stands for Massive Open Online Courses, and they are university courses which you join for free. Try out COURSERA and FUTURELEARN. Why not start with Learning How to Learn, which will give you valuable advice on how to learn more effectively, and retain the things that you’ve learned.

The school’s website - http://www.savani.edu.gr/ - is a good place to start. If you click on FUNLEARN SITES - Funlearn Challenge, you will find a site especially created with your level in mind.

Follow us on FACEBOOK - https://www.facebook.com/savani.school - because we post useful links that will help you in your learning process.

Achieving language proficiency has never been easier. What it needs on your part is dedication and daily exposure to the English language. It may all seem a bit daunting at first, but if you keep at it, learning will soon become very enjoyable and rewarding.

ENJOY LEARNING!!!

Learning How to Learn is a COURSERA course, starting in October, which explains the way we store and retrieve information, and gives valuable advice how to study, revise and remember things not just for the exam the following day, but forever. It is very useful for learners of all ages.

Another interesting course from FUTURELEARN is Exploring English: Language and Culture. It is ideal for learners of English as you improve your language skills by watching videos about life in Britain. The course is both enjoyable and informative.
